Prices & Shipping Critique: tinybirdarts

Our critique this week is for tinybirdarts. The theme is prices and shipping. Please post your feedback in the comments!

  1. This was a tough one, because so much of your shop is digital design with no shipping! I think your prices seem pretty good to me. One that surprised me was the 240 address labels. Good printable labels are expensive, so offering labels plus customized design for only $6 seemed low to me.

Otherwise, everything seemed reasonable, without being so low as to sell out your considerable design talents! Well done!

  2. I agree it is hard to critique you on prices and shipping because you don't really have shipping prices but from what I have seen your prices seem very reasonable. Overall I think your shop looks good. The only thing I noticed that I would change is to simplify your profile. I think there is to much information there. Other than that good luck with continued sales.

  3. Hi, nice shop! As far as shipping, I realize most is DIY and the customer would print at home but you do offer pricing if you printed it for the customer. Is shipping additional? Included?

Your pricing is fair and affordable. Yes, well done!!

    Best!

  4. One of the items that you're actually shipping to people are these custom flags: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=30614553

You only include shipping to u.s. I would recommend expanding your horizons and adding canada and international shipping. It's not as much as you might think (the usps.com site is very helpful) and I was surprised at how many international orders I got when I added that option.

I can't really comment on the pricing on the digital artwork, as I've never dabbled in that, but it looks like you're selling some things, so you must be doing something right!

I know we're supposed to be concentrating on pricing, but I've said all I can say about pricing already...

Generally, the images look good, but this one:

the photograph's colors are so different from the screen shots you show. This might be confusing to the user -- the screenshot colors are nicer. Might be worthwhile figuring out how to make the photos looks truer (try natural lighting or use ottlites or other full-spectrum bulbs)

But nice work overall! Good job!

  6. Your prices look good. The one thing I noticed, on another subject, was that your profile included information (your FAQs) that may be better suited to your shop policies. You have a very nice shop.

  7. Thanks for the great comments everyone! I finally made myself a light box & will be improving photos. Also that's a good comment on the international shipping. I have shipped a few orders outside of the US just fine but just didn't get to adding that to my item listings. I've thought to make more address label designs, so I'll try raising the price a bit. I think that price is old from when I didn't know how to price things very well :)
